Carl,

I wanted to write to tell you how much I’ve enjoyed my bike this summer. I’ve got about 1500 miles on it now and it just keeps getting better and better. The more I ride it, the more familiar it feels and the more amazed I am at how comfortable it is while still being fast and plenty stiff. It also turns a lot of heads, which is fun . . .

I’ve ridden it on lots of different types of rides and there’s not one place I’ve had it where I wished it was anything different. From a 9 mile gravel & paved dirt climb up Larch mountain, to hammering on the flats in big groups, to twisting down the 13 mile descent off of Mary’s Peak, it’s been a real pleasure. I think the standout day for me was doing RAMROD on it. It’s ‘Ride Around Mt. Raineer in One Day’, if you aren’t familiar with it, and it was about 160 miles with 10,000 feet of climbing. After all the climbing was finished and I was on the long slight downhill towards the finish, I suddenly realized that my neck didn’t hurt, my back didn’t hurt, I felt fresh and like I was 30 miles into a ride instead of 130. I was blown away.

It’s built up with a mix of SRAM Force & Red with an Ultegra Crankset, Thompson stem & seatpost, Deda Newton Bars, King bottom bracket & headset, and American Classic wheels. I’ve included a couple of pics from right after I got it built up.

Just wanted to say thanks. I hope all is well and that you are enjoying the slow turn into Autumn. Your new website looks great.

Best Regards,
