News: Pilot from AK April 14th, 2009

So here is a frame for a Customer from AK, BJ.¬† He’s a helicopter pilot in the Coast Guard. He’ll actually be coming to Bozeman to pick the frame up and we’ll be able to ride together . that’s pretty cool because I rarely got to meet my customers face to face. About 99% of the frames I sell, I sell over the phone and out of state.

This frame is a classic “Stage Race” style road frame made with my favorite “Custom Blend” of True Temper OX Platinum and Columbus Life tuned to his weight, frame size and riding preferences. He’s also had the seatstays “Swooped” as I call it which gives the frame a nice look. The frame is getting a super cool paint job that you’ll get to see when I post it upon it’s return from Spectrum. We’ll be building it up with Shimano Ultegra SL and an Edge Composites 2.0 fork. Very nice!

I also inluded another pic of his other ride becaue I thought it was cool. I hope you don’t mind BJ.

Anyone watch Ax Men? They have a pretty cool profile on Helicopter loggers not far from  here. The pilot got caught out in some fog on a recent episode and barely made it back to his landing site. Pretty nerve racking.
