Hope your back is getting better. Wanted to pass on that I'd finally had an extended period of time on the Ti hardtail in proper mountains out in Utah. Short of it is the bike is great and is exactly what I was looking for. We built it up with the new 2×10 XTR and some Chris King wheels using Stan's Arch rims. Pretty much a bullet proof package that I expect to ride for the next couple decades.
First ride on the Ti CX bike today. It's everything that I hoped it would be. Super sweet ride!
Completed the century. It was a tough day, but the bike performed flawlessly. Excellent handling on descents, very stiff on climbs (14,000 feet of climbing!) with a subtle ride quality on rough pavement. In short, I loved it. The setup was very comfortable for the entire day of riding and I felt great the next day. I have included a photo before the ride, at the top of the bald and the day after at Unicoi State Park, where we camped for the weekend. My son has graduated from Utah and has taken a job with the university, so maybe I will get a chance to come up to Bozeman and get to meet the master in person. Thanks again, Carl and keep up the good work.
