Here we are, 20 years and going strong. We are very fortunate to be able to do what we love for work, and even more so that we've been able to do it successfully for so long. Hopefully we'll be at it for at least another 20 years. To commemorate this benchmark, Loretta and I have decided to produce a limited edition 20th Anniversary frameset. There will only be 20 made and Loretta and I have the first two.
When coming up with a design I toiled over what I could do to make this frame special. Maybe custom tubes or graphics or even dropouts, but that's not what we're about. So what I decided to do is to stick with the material that I love, use a geometry I love, paint it a nice simple semi-gloss black and then let it do what our bikes do best, speak through performance. While we really admire all the great designs that so many builders produce, cool paint and unique adornment, in the end I am known for a no nonsense approach to framebuilding. It would be insincere if I were to deviate from that just for the sake of trying to do something different.
This frame is a modern approach to a steel stage race frame. The combination of tubes and geometry create a frameset that is light, stiff, lively and responsive. Handling is sharp and accurate and living in the mountains and loving to go fast, I focused on creating a platform that is stable and confidence inspiring at speed.
The frame is paired with the Enve 2.0 tapered fork, finished in a semi-gloss black with silver graphics and to top it off, we have had a handmade cast, solid silver headbadge done by artist and jeweler Michael Cherney. There will be only 20 badges made and they are only available on these frames. You can see more about the badge and the process of making them below. While the frames will be custom fit to the customer, aside from that there will be no other options other than cable or electric shift. These frames represent exactly what I believe to be the best of breed in modern steel stage race frames and I do not want to dilute that. The frame is priced with fork and headset. We are offering a preferred build, but you are welcome to outfit the bike as you see fit. You can see our build kit's pricing page for more options.
Pricing below is for frame, fork and headset. To get full bike pricing add the frame price with build kit price. There will be a $135 credit applied to kit price for the headset if you buy a complete bike. Full bike pricing includes parts sized by me and fit specifically for you. For complete bike orders the deposit is 50% of frame price. Balance of complete bike package will be due at time of delivery.
Full bike "preferred build" (as pictured). Campy Record/Enve cockpit/Enve 3.4 wheels/Fizik Aliante Saddle $9150
