VOW slash tech talk

December 27th, 2011

This is a really cool video along with a link to a page supporting the claims that are being made. The info was sent to me by my long time client Peter M. who’s brother-in-law is one of the authors.

December 15th, 2011

Here is the last frame for the week and possibly the year. It’ s a titanium road frame that we’re building with Ultegra and custom Hed/King wheels.

Shipping this week

December 13th, 2011

Loretta and I are busy getting the last couple bikes out the door for this year. This week we are assembling and shipping Marcos, Nathan and Jeff. They are all titanium and complete builds. Marcos is an awesome commuter style city bike and both Nathan and Jeff are super sweet road bikes. Two have custom wheelsets that Bill just finished building and Nathan is getting Hed Aredenne SL’s which are sitting right here next to my desk. Nathan’s frame is shown below and I’ll post Jeff’s frame build in a day or two. I’ll post them all complete once I get them together.

For the true Bike Geeks

December 9th, 2011

I was recently introduced to a couple of places on the web that I thought were a lot of fun and thought I’d share them. I may be late to the party and everyone may already know about them but I thought I’d post them anyway.

The first I found because my mom gave me a book for my B-day called the Bike Snob. It’ s fun read, it’s really funny and it will make you feel not quite so alone if you are a complete bike geek. He also has a blog: http://bikesnobnyc.blogspot.com/

The other was sent to me the other day and it’s called Velominati which is full of great classic cycling images and a deep reservoir of  great content. It’s also a very good looking and well designed site. My favorite section is The Rules.  They are both funny and true. Maybe a little insight to why roadies are considered snobs. If you want to be proper roadie this is a great place to start :)

VOW

December 7th, 2011

Here is a really cool video that I thought a lot of you might like. It’s long and I can’t embed it but you can see it at the link below in HD. It’s very nicely done and  there is some great riding.  My favorite part other than the riding is when the mechanic is overhauling the bike.
