Mike’s Dirt Road

Dirt Road frames are one of my favorites to build and this one has a custom steel fork on it so  it’s really cool. It’s a Custom Blend steel built for Mike W. in CO. It’s no nonsense and has really clean lines. It goes to paint this week.

Next up is Brett’s titanium road. I’ll be posting pictures of that build on Wednesday.

    Carl,
Some builders favor 1/16″ Tungstens and others, 3/32″. What is your preference, and do you feel it makes a significant difference?

I use 1/16th on steel and titanium and 3/32 on aluminum. I know others use 3/32 on steel and titanium. I don’t know that it makes much of a difference. I think it’s more a matter of what you’re used to.
